AstralMath

Open-source · Astronomy-first · Multi-culture

The astronomical core for AI-native astrology.

AstralMath exists to give astrology the two things it has always lacked at once: real mathematics and real honesty — open-source, computed from the actual sky, and built for the way people now ask questions.

The mission

The goal is narrow and deliberate: become the open-source astronomical core for AI-native astrology across cultures. Not another app fighting for attention — the shared, verifiable engine underneath. One arc-second-accurate ephemeris, wrapped in each tradition’s authentic rules, that any site, tool, or AI assistant can call.

Vedic and Western are computable today; Chinese BaZi, Mayan Tzolkin, and the Arabic/Perso-Islamic system are on the way. The astronomy is universal — only the interpretation is cultural — so one honest core can serve all of them.

The why

Two things are true at the same time. Astrology deserves real math: the positions it rests on are exact, solvable astronomy, and it is a small scandal how many products approximate them into garbage. And astrology deserves honesty: the interpretation is a symbolic tradition, not a physical prediction, and pretending otherwise is how the whole field lost the trust of thinking people.

There is also a timing reason. AI is now how people ask. They don’t open a chart site — they ask an assistant, which cheerfully returns positions that are wrong by degrees. An open engine an AI can call fixes that at the root. AstralMath is built for that moment.

Principles

Astronomy first

Every position comes from a real ephemeris, to the arc-second. We start from measured physics, never a lookup table or a vibe.

The math is open

The engine is open-source and verifiable. If you can’t read it and run it, you can’t trust it — so we let you.

Runs on your device

Calculations execute in your browser via WebAssembly. Your birth data never leaves your machine, and there is no account.

Solutions, not woo

People come because something is happening and they want a next step. We answer with the window, the score, or the date — and show the arithmetic.

Who builds it

Dipankar Sarkar

Founder & Principal Engineer

Engineer building the open-source astronomical core for AI-native astrology. AstralMath compiles Swiss Ephemeris to WebAssembly and runs every calculation client-side.

Try the honest version

The mission is abstract; the tool is not. Compute your chart from the real ephemeris and see the math and the interpretation, kept apart.
