What is the Uranus return at 84?

What's actually true — the astronomy

Uranus’s sidereal orbital period is 84.01 years — measured, not symbolic. The return is transiting Uranus reaching its natal ecliptic longitude, resolved to the day from the real ephemeris. Very few people get a second one; that is simply what an 84-year orbit means against a human lifespan.

What the tradition says (interpretation)

Astrology reads the Uranus return as the closing of the circle — the perspective of having seen the whole pattern, and traditionally a time of unexpected freedom rather than decline. It has little classical literature behind it, since Uranus was only discovered in 1781 and the return has only been observable within astrology’s modern era.

The decision-science move — what to actually do

There is no decision science that improves on the obvious here: this is a fact worth marking, and the useful thing to do with it is talk. The people around you will want the stories, and the stories mostly do not get told unless someone makes an occasion. Use the date as the occasion. Record something — audio, video, a written page — because the thing your family will actually want later is your voice, and almost nobody gets around to it without a reason.
